We design beautiful climate responsive homes.

At Project Habitation, we create luxurious, climate-responsive homes that enhance the way you live. Specialising in sustainable residential design across South East Queensland and Northern NSW, we craft spaces that are not only visually stunning but also energy-efficient, comfortable, and deeply connected to the environment.

Our designs celebrate the best aspects of the local climate—cool in summer, cozy in winter, and a delight to experience year-round. Through Passive Solar Design principles such as orientation, shading, thermal mass, and natural ventilation, we maximise comfort while minimising energy consumption. We take sustainability a step further, integrating advanced Passivhaus techniques like super-insulated building envelopes and airtight construction to create homes that are healthier, quieter, and effortlessly efficient.

True luxury is more than just aesthetics. It’s a home that performs flawlessly, adapts to your needs, and enriches everyday moments. Whether it’s the glow of morning light in a perfectly positioned courtyard, a refreshing cross-breeze on a summer evening, or the seamless transition between indoors and out, we design with intention. Our homes are crafted to reduce energy use, conserve resources, and deliver timeless beauty with uncompromising comfort.

At Project Habitation, sustainability is not an afterthought. It’s the foundation of intelligent, high-end living.

We design spaces for living, investing and thriving.

From bespoke residences to multi-residential developments, we focus on efficiency, beauty, and lasting value.

Next steps.

Every great project starts with a conversation. We begin by meeting with you in person to understand your vision, aspirations, and the unique opportunities of your site. This is an open discussion where you can ask questions, explore possibilities, and gain insight into our design process. We’ll also share examples of our work and deliverables, giving you a clear idea of what to expect.

After our meeting, we’ll provide a tailored fee proposal outlining the project scope, stages, and deliverables. Our process is flexible. You can choose the level of service that suits your needs, with no obligation to proceed beyond the initial stages.

_

We dedicate time and expertise to every consultation, researching your site and tailoring our recommendations to your specific project. If you choose to proceed with us, this consultation is complimentary. If not, a $330 fee applies. This small fee reflects the value we place on our time and ensures we focus on clients who are serious about creating a well-designed, successful project. It’s a fraction of the overall investment in your home—less than the cost of a front door—but it allows us to provide thoughtful, high-quality guidance from the very first meeting.

We’d love to meet you.

Let’s start a conversation about what’s possible.

Alyssa Clift

MASTER OF ARCHITECTURE
B. DES (ARCH)
B. DES (INTERIOR)

With a background in interior design and architecture, Alyssa Clift founded Project Habitation in 2013. She recognised a need for homes that combine aesthetics with sustainable performance, and since then, she has overseen over 100 residential projects across South East Queensland and Northern NSW.

Alyssa’s personal design style is timeless, uncluttered expressions of natural materiality that is connected with the outdoor environment. Her designs are influenced by eco-brutalism, biophilic design, wabi-sabi, Japandi, and warm minimalism.

Alyssa's goal is to create spaces that enhance the way people live, and through every project, she ensures her clients feel heard, confident in the process, and proud of the sustainable and beautiful home they’ve created together.
